March saw the finale of our schools workshops, where spooky characters from Glasgow’s past were brought to life through singing and movement. Three classes from our nearby schools worked together to create songs based on local legends, especially for this short performance in Glasgow’s oldest building.
The concert featured pupils from Alexandra Parade, St Denis’ and St Mungo’s primary schools, with instrumental accompaniment, led by Andy McTaggart and Alan Penman.
GCF’s 2024 schools project was supported by the Bellahouston Bequest Fund, People’s Postcode Trust, and the Trades House of Glasgow Commonweal Fund.
