Tour 2 / Stained and Painted Glass
Glasgow Cathedral has a nationally important collection of stained glass, from the richly coloured Munich glass of 1850 to more recent work, such as Francis Spear’s 1958 Creation, and the Millenium Window by Paisley-born John Clark. From almost 100 decorative windows, stained glass artist Talia Blatt has selected her particular favourites, and researched them as part of her current Fellowship from Harvard University. This tour explores what makes the windows so special, and what techniques were used to create these vibrant portals in the city’s oldest building.
This is a free event, but we have very limited spaces available, so book now to avoid disappointment!
