Tour 3 / Steeple Conservation Project

Glasgow Cathedral is the only complete, large medieval church to survive in mainland Scotland, and has a full-time team of conservation stonemasons who work to restore and maintain the building’s magnificent structure and stonework. Book a place on this tour to learn from the master mason, Johnnie Clark, about the current conservation project on the cathedral’s steeple—from the ancient tools and techniques used to the cutting-edge technology that helps get the job done!

This is a free event, but we have very limited spaces available, so book now to avoid disappointment!

This event is offered in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland. The tour may move around multiple locations—if you require assistance with mobility, please contact us at the time of booking and we will ensure your access needs are supported.
